As the director of the music video, though not the music itself, I tread carefully to capture the essence of the song primarily through its lyrics and the use of specific instruments. The narrative centers on Al, a young adult caught between her past and future. Aspiring to be a photographer, she faces rejection from her dream school, plunging her into a relentless cycle of self-pity and nostalgia. Over time, she realizes that by being a mere observer in her own life, everything around her has faded; now, feeling undeniably alone, she reflects on the moments she thought she was alone, finally understanding what that truly means.
